HGTV: Design Stories
Digital & Social Media Web Series

Client: Scripps Network Interactive | HGTV
Production Company: Grace Does

Grace Does approached Bryant Coffey, Inc. to assist with editorial on a new web and digital for HGTV’s new series, Design Stories. Originally, we had 10 Designers across 13 locations and 3 cities where we created over 3 hours of content in both 16:9 and 9:16 for HGTV’s Website, Facebook and Instagram pages.

We covered topics in gardening, home design tours, tips for finding vintage home items, lighting design, creating styles for the viewers locale, outdoor spaces, rental properties and we even put together a celebrity home tour from Haley Orrantia, star of ABC’s The Goldbergs.

Since the initial rollout of the series, we have gone on to edit 3 additional seasons of the series and have plans to make even more into the future. This series really resonates with the HGTV audience, especially with the vertical 9:16 content that goes live on IGTV – to the tune of over 5.6 million views.

Below are some of my favorites from this series. Are you interested in seeing how they look on IGTV?

Stop by and see how unique a 9:16 frame makes your content look.

HGTV Design Stories S1: Celebrity Home Tours

This series was incredibly fun to create and gave me my first crack at making vertical videos for IGTV. Here’s a walkthrough tour we put together for Hayley Orrantia’s Modern Farmhouse. Across this series, we shot for each format, 16:9 and 9:16, so each video is composed of different footage, shot for the format. If you’re interested in seeing more of the 9:16 vertical IGTV videos, feel free to stop by and check them out on my Instagram Page.
